Distinguished Guests

- I would like to welcome you all to our Mozart night.

- We are very pleased to have you here. As organizer of this concert I would like to thank companies Efes Pilsen, Geocell, Georgian and Turkish Businessman Association and Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theatre for their very kind and generous contribution and support.

- Georgia and Turkey, as two great nations, have special bonds of friendship, based on a common geography, history and culture; our peoples share common values and traditions.

- I sincerely believe that the close cultural relations between our countries will continue to develop in the future as it has been in the past.

-Let me have the opportunity to give brief information about Maestro Matchavariani and our pianist Ms. Zeynep Üçbaşaran.

- In fact everbody here knows Maestro Matchavariani. He needs no special introduction. He is known not only here in Georgia but he has an excellent reputation in almost every corner of the world where he conducted more than 80 orchestras including very recently Turkish Presidential Symphony Orchestra in Ankara.

- But what is more interesting is that he has very special ties with Turkey and Turkish people as his grandfather was one of the first Georgian Ambassadors to Turkey. So just as his grandfather now he, as a cultural envoy is doing his utmost to further cultural ties between Georgia and Turkey.

- Ms. Üçbaşaran started her music studies at the age of 4 at the İstanbul Conservatory. She has her Concert Artist Diploma from the Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest. She obtained her advanced graduate degrees in Piano Performance from Hochschule für Musik, Freiburg, Germany. Her MA and DMA degrees in Piano Performance from USC.

- Ms. Zeynep Üçbaşaran is a worldwide known and appreciated artist who has given many recitals and concerts besides Turkey, in Hungary, Germany, England, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Lithuania, Estonia, Solvenia, United States, Brazil and so forth, and now we have the pleasure to welcome her here in Tbilisi as our Elçi for strenghening and deepening further cultural bonds as well as the friendship between Turkish and Kartveli khalhi.

- I would like to thank you once again for joining us tonight.
